Two games, Lucky Berry and Jacks or Better, which we have already released, just got a new preloader. The old, ugly preloader has gone. Say hello to the new sleek and clean black animated preloader featuring a dice theme.

Both games have been updated fixing a number of minor glitches. It is now possible to play Lucky Berry in a truly full-screen mode. This functionality has been tested on all major browsers (Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8 Beta, Opera, FireFox and Chrome beta) and proved to be working fine.

According to different reports and research results, gambling addiction has been rising fast and steadily. Indeed, what could be worse when a person withdraws funds that the family has been putting aside for kids' education and gambles in a casino? There are many such stories told by people.

But if you think your funds are safe in a bank even when none of your family members are gambling-addicted, you may be deeply mistaken. At least this is true for those people who have had deposits in the local branch of the National Bank of Greece in Leros, a small island with about 10,000 inhabitants.

When the clients of the bank wanted to withdraw their money, the bank manager refused to do so. He told them that the funds were locked in long-term deposits and could not be withdrawn immediately. Disappointed customers went to the court and that's when the bank manager's activities were uncovered. The investigators found out that the manager had gambled away more than 1 million Euros of customers' money from their savings accounts.

"He was always losing," said an anonymous police official. "Every time he played a small amount of money to break even, he lost it, so the next time he had to take a little bit more."

The police have arrested the bank manager.

All of us are excited as we've just released the first GamblingWare Casino platform game. We have launched the demo casino lobby as well, where all of the released games will be added.

The released game is a classic 3 reel,1 play-line slots game called Lucky Berry. The Berry symbol is a wild symbol and at the same time acts as a multiplier. Any combination with one Berry symbol gets x5 winning and those with two Berry symbols give a x25 winning. Overall the game is quite exciting and fun to play.

A new study shows online gambling is more addictive than casino gambling. Further, some forms of online gambling are more addictive than others. For example, pokers tends to be the most addictive. Government agencies in different countries are well aware of this fact. Swedish finance minister Andres Borg urges Svenska Spel to clearly and regularly inform players of their total winning and losses, as a way to prevent them from spending more than planned.

However, Svenska Spel, the Swedish government hand in charge of online gambling, is experiencing more pressure by the fact that by monopolizing the Swedish market, they are actually breaking the European Community rules, which call for free trade across the EU. Mr. Borg has already been warned about the legal consequences and the Finance minister must find a solution to this problem.

A possible solution to this problem would be selling parts of Svenska Spel. However, on the other hand, the Swedish government would like to retain control on online gambling. That's where the findings of the above mentioned research could come handy. The Swedish government could sell less addictive forms of online gambling and retain the most addictive forms, for example online poker.

It's interesting what the final consensus will be. The Swedish government doesn't have much options but they will surely find a way to solve this delicate issue.
